Nature’s Health Plan is Nutrition

Food Facts you should know. Today’s food lacks critical nutrients.

Did you know that there are ways that nature provides protection against illness? One of the ways that the body defends itself against illness and disease is through the things we eat. When you eat food with more nutrition (vitamins, minerals, protein, fiber, carbohydrates, etc.), then your body responds with more energy, strength, clarity and health.

Unfortunately, due to modern farming methods, our overall soil quality is lacking in minerals and other nutrients. This means that even though we eat the right things they may not give your body what it needs to stay healthy. The facts are disturbing:

  • The USDA studies show that over the last 40 years there has been an overall 20 to 80 percent decline of the minerals contained in our fruits, vegetables and grains.
  • One study analyzed fruits and vegetables and found that from 1963–1992 that there was a 30% decline in the amount of calcium and iron.1
  • Since 1951 the vitamin content has declined in conventionally farmed produce. For example, one study found that it would take two servings of broccoli today to equal the amount of vitamin A in a 1951 serving. In 1951, two peaches provided the RDA amount of Vitamin A for the average woman. In 2009 it would take 53 peaches to equal the same amount of Vitamin A that a women needs daily.2
  • Even the government recognized how serious this is. In 1936, U.S. Senate Document 264 states, “The alarming fact is that foods, fruits, vegetables and grains now being raised on million of acres of land no longer contain necessary levels of essential minerals and are starving us. No matter how much of them we eat, no man can eat enough fruits and vegetables to supply his system with what he requires for perfect health because his stomach isn’t big enough to hold them.”

So what happens when the basic foods, which were designed by nature as building blocks for our health, are lacking in nutrition? How can we put the missing elements like minerals and vitamins back into our bodies? There are many ways. This is why people are changing their diets, eating more organic foods, juicing, avoiding processed foods, eliminating excess sugar, salt & fats, and depending on vitamins and supplements like ProteKdo to build their health and strengthen their body’s natural defenses.
